あらすじ
日本が戦後の復興とともに新しい時代を歩み始めた1950年代、茨城県のとある街。裕福な家庭に生まれ育ちながらも少年時代から「髪結いの女性との結婚」に憧れて世間から距離を置いて生きてきた男は、やがて周囲には身分違いと反対された理容師の女と結婚し、夢を実現する。小さな理容室には個性豊かな人々が集い、慎ましく静かな女との平穏で満ち足りた日々を過ごす。しかし、その穏やかな日々は少しずつ揺らいでいき…。
STORY
In a small town in Ibaraki in the 1950s, as Japan begins a new era of postwar reconstruction, a wealthy but reclusive man fulfills his childhood dream of marrying a hairdresser — a match those around him had opposed as beneath his family's standing. In her small barbershop, the couple enjoy a quiet and happy life surrounded by colorful customers, with his modest, soft-spoken wife by his side. But their peaceful days slowly begin to change…

ある男の純粋で偏愛的な恋心を描いた1990年公開のフランス映画、パトリス・ルコント監督の傑作『髪結いの亭主』。90年代ミニシアターブームを代表する名作として今なお語り継がれる本作を日本初舞台化。脚本・演出は第33回読売演劇大賞優秀演出家賞受賞、新進気鋭の石黒麻衣。主演は深い作品理解と表現力で役者としても評価の高いSUPER EIGHTの安田章大が務める。作品舞台をフランスの田舎町から茨城県の小さな理容室へと大胆に翻案し、石黒ならではの茨城弁の台詞が、静けさの中に激情を秘めた男女の愛と官能の物語を鮮やかに紡ぎ出す。
INTRODUCTION
Patrice Leconte's acclaimed 1990 French film The Hairdresser's Husband portrays a man's pure yet obsessive love. A landmark of Japan's 1990s art-house cinema boom, it remains widely admired and is now adapted for the Japanese stage for the first time. The play is written and directed by rising talent Mai Ishiguro, winner of the Outstanding Director Award at the 33rd Yomiuri Theatre Awards. It stars Shota Yasuda of idol group SUPER EIGHT, also highly acclaimed as an actor for his deep understanding of his roles and expressive performances. The setting moves boldly from rural France to a small barbershop in Ibaraki. Through Ishiguro's distinctive dialogue in the Ibaraki dialect, the play vividly tells a sensual love story of a man and woman whose quiet lives hide intense passion.
