あらすじ
亡き父が遺した実家の銭湯「まるきん温泉」に突然戻ってきた建築家の三浦史朗（生田斗真）。帰省の理由は店を切り盛りする弟の悟朗（濱田岳）に、古びた銭湯を畳んでマンションに建て替えることを伝えるためだった。実家を飛び出し都会で自由気ままに生きる史朗に反発し、冷たい態度をとる悟朗。そんなある日、ボイラー室でボヤ騒ぎが起き、巻き込まれた悟朗が入院することに。銭湯で働いているいづみ（橋本環奈）の助言もあり、史朗は弟の代わりに仕方なく「まるきん温泉」の店主として数日間を過ごす。不慣れながらも湯を沸かし、様々な人間模様を目の当たりにした史朗の中で徐々に何かが変わっていく……。
STORY
Shiro Miura(Toma Ikuta),who works as an architect, suddenly returns to his hometown. His family runs a bathhouse “Marukin Onsen”,which was left behind by his late father.The purpose for his visit is to close down the old bathhouse and build an apartment over that property. He tells his younger brother Goro(Gaku Hamada) his idea, however Goro takes a cold attitude towards it. Because while Goro ran the bathhouse, Shiro ran away to the city lived freely there. One day, a small fire incident occurs in boiler room. Goro gets injured and hospitalized. Izumi(Kanna Hashimoto), who is an employee at the bathhouse, suggests to Shiro that he should work as owner of Marukin Onsen on behalf of his brother. Although unfamiliar with it, Shiro starts to work temporarily at the bathhouse. He meets the regulars that visits the bathhouse and this causes some changes in him…

「くまモン」の生みの親、第81回米アカデミー賞外国語映画賞をはじめ国内外問わず数々の賞を総なめにした映画『おくりびと』（08）の脚本家など、幅広く活躍する構成作家であり脚本家の小山薫堂。本作は、小山薫堂の企画・脚本で、日本特有の入浴文化を題材に、心も身体もシットリ感動、ホッコリ幸せな気分に“整う”お風呂エンタメ映画。主人公・三浦史朗を生田斗真、実力派俳優・濱田岳が史朗の弟・三浦悟朗を、女優・橋本環奈が銭湯「まるきん温泉」で働くヒロイン・秋山いづみを演じる。監督は『HERO』『マスカレード』シリーズを手掛け、群像劇を得意とするヒットメーカー、鈴木雅之。
INTRODUCTION
Kundo Koyama, screenwriter and producer, who is best known for scripting “Okuribito”(Departure 2008),which got a few awards both in Japan and abroad, including the 81th Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He is also the creator of “Kumamon”, a popular bear-shaped mascot. This film, planned and written by Kundo Koyama, is a "bath entertainment film" based on the unique Japanese bathing culture that will make you feel relaxed, moved, and happy in both mind and body. The main character Shiro Miura, is played by Toma Ikuta. Shiro’s younger brother, Goro Miura, is played by talented actor Gaku Hamada. Heroine, Izumi Akiyama, who works at the bathhouse is played by Kanna Hashimoto. This film is directed by Masayuki Suzuki, a hit maker good at ensemble cast shows, who also directed TV drama “Hero” and “Masquerade” film series.
