あらすじ
タイ、バンコクの一室で幼い子供たちが売春を強いられている。日本新聞社バンコク支局の南部浩行は東京本社から子供の臓器売買の取材を依頼される。子供が生きたまま臓器を抉り取られる事実を知る。一方、自分探しのためバンコクの社会福祉センターで働き始めた音羽恵子は、臓器売買の話を聞き、南部とともに日本に帰り、移植手術を計画する商社マン家庭に赴くが、子供を救いたい家族に拒絶される。タイに戻った南部はカメラマンの与田博明に協力させ、臓器提供の決定的瞬間を撮る。やがて社会福祉センター主催の集会にマフィアが乱入して銃を乱射。南部はそこで子供を助けるが、自らの心の闇を悟って絶望する。
STORY
Children are forced into prostitution in a room in Bangkok, Thailand. Nanbu Hiroyuki, a journalist stationed at the Bangkok branch of the Nippon Newspaper, is asked by the Head Office in Tokyo to look into a story about the trade of a child's organ. In the process, he learns that the organs are harvested from children alive. Meanwhile, Otowa Keiko starts working at a social welfare center in Bangkok to discover her inner self. She also hears about the organ trade, and Otowa and Nanbu return to Japan to visit a family of a trading company employee who has been planning an organ transplant. The family who want to save their child refuse to cooperate. On return to Thailand, Nanbu manages to take photographs of the crucial moment of the organ trade with the help of a cameraman, Yoda Hiroaki. Before long, a group of Mafia burst into a meeting organized by the social welfare center spraying bullets at the attendants. Nanbu saves a child but discovers of the abyss of his own mind and despairs.

トロント国際映画祭に正式招待された『トカレフ』や海洋アクション『亡国のイージス』などで世界的に認知度の高い阪本順治が、梁石日の同名小説をもとに、人身売買、幼児売買春の実態を、リアルに描いた社会派ドラマ。第43回カルロヴィヴァリ国際映画祭正式出品作品。
INTRODUCTION
A social drama directed by Sakamoto Junji, a globally acclaimed director for his Tokarev, which was officially invited to the Toronto International Film Festival, and Aegis as well as others. Based on Yan Sogil's novel of the same title, Sakamoto realistically portrays the current status of human trafficking and child prostitution. The film was officially invited to the 43rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
